NVQs

A construction NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) is a recognised qualification in England, Wales & Northern Ireland.

NVQs demonstrate your skills and competence in a particular trade or occupation within the construction industry.

In Scotland they are known as Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ).

NVQs are made up of units that cover all aspects of your job, from health and safety to a specific skill.

To achieve an NVQ, you need to demonstrate that you can safely and effectively carry out the tasks required of you in your job.

Gaining the relevant NVQ enables a CPCS 'Red Trained Operator' card holder to upgrade to the CPCS 'Blue Competent Operator' card.

Our NVQ’s are completed in your workplace through the Onsite Assessment and Training (OSAT) route and under the observation of our Assessors.

CITB Funding & Grants

If you are a CITB levy payer, you could be eligible to claim back a grant once your employee has completed their NVQ. We can also assist you when applying for the grants.
