NRSWA Streetworks Course (Operatives)

Duration – 4 days (Units 1-6 & 9)

Price £600.00 + VAT

This course is for operatives who locate underground apparatus, set up equipment for works within the highway, carry out excavation, backfill and reinstatement using cold-lay bituminous materials.

On successful completion of the course you will have the skills and knowledge to carry out work to the standards required by the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.This is the legal framework for street works.

The course programme includes:

• Unit 1 – Location and avoidance of underground apparatus
• Unit 2 – Signing, lighting and guarding units
• Unit 3 – Excavation in the road/highway
• Unit 4 – Reinstatement and compaction of backfill materials
• Unit 5 – Reinstatement of sub-base and road-base in non-bituminous materials
• Unit 6 – Reinstatement of cold-lay bituminous materi
• Unit 9 – Reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways.

Our training centre can provide Unit 7 (hotlay) for an additional price of £150 + VAT. Please call us to discuss this further.
