Welcome to or learners page where you will be able to find lots of useful information whether you are a potential apprentice or one of our existing learners.

Information for potential apprentices:

Apprenticeships are an excellent way of gaining valuable on-site experience with an employer whilst working towards industry recognised qualifications, providing you with firm foundations for a career within the construction / flooring industry.

Benefits of an apprenticeship:

  • Earn a wage through real life work experience
  • Gain a professionally recognised qualification
  • Training at no cost to you
  • Learn job-specific and employability skills
  • Potential to progress quickly in your career.
  • Avoiding costly university fees and student debt.

To start an apprenticeship you need to be aged 16 or above, not in full-time education & employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week. Further information regarding apprenticeships can be accessed here: https://www.gov.uk/apprenticeships-guide

Construction and Plant Assessments advertise all our current vacancies on the Recruit-an-Apprentice website https://www.gov.uk/apply-apprenticeship , on our Facebook page & on this website.

If you are looking for an apprenticeship:

If you already have an employer:

If you are currently employed and think you could benefit from an apprenticeship, we would be happy to speak to your employer to arrange your training. To find out more about apprenticeships and which apprenticeship may be best for you, please contact us.

Apprenticeship Delivery:

Our apprenticeships are delivered on a block release basis at our first class training centre and will take between 18 and 24 months to complete, depending on your chosen career path. The training is made up of both theory and practical assessments. Our tutors are highly skilled in the subjects they teach and have experience working with apprentices with varying levels of educational needs.

Our Existing Learners:

Useful information regarding your apprenticeship training:

Prior to starting the apprenticeship, you will be provided with the full schedule of training dates, you must check that these dates do not coincide with any pre-booked holidays and inform us if they do. You will also be provided with links to complete an online Maths and English assessment via BKSB and supply us with some important information via the EOS learn system, all of which must be completed before the onboarding session and the first block of training.

Training Dates -

To view your full training schedule, find your sector and group number from the list below and follow the link to your planned training dates.  Most of our learners are now on the EOS system which can be used to view your training dates. If you are usure about any upcoming training dates email leah.jackson@cpassessments.co.uk who will be able to confirm the dates for you.

We will send you a text the week prior to each block of training so please ensure we have your current mobile number. Ultimately, attending these sessions is your responsibility and you must make sure you know when you are in training.

If you are going to be absent from training due to sickness you must inform your employer first who will then contact us with the reason for your absence.

The functional skills teacher has gone above and beyond to make sure I understand and can answer the questions correctly so I can do the best in my exam.
