Commercial Vinyl

Our 3 day course is designed to improve your floor skills & confidence in commercial vinyl. You will be training in realistic wet room settings, to prepare you for installing non-slip flooring in commercial areas.

From subfloor preparation to vinyl repairs, welding, and installing to gully drains, our comprehensive training covers all aspects of cap and cove vinyl flooring installation.

Sub Floor Preparation

• Solid & timber
• Identify various sub floors
• Understanding & applying of primers, moisture vapour suppressants
• Assess subfloors & environments
• Applying smooth compounds (rake, pin leveller, cam rake)
• Templating for fabricated underlayment's
• Feather finish application

Installation

• Vinyl preparation & repairs
• Setting out & best practices
• Adhesives: types & uses
• Forming internal & external corners
• Heat welding: internal/external corners & flat areas
• Reactive repairs
• Installing to gully drains
